Next Chapter Hypnotherapy
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern the professional relationship between Next Chapter Hypnotherapy (“the Therapist”) and the client (“the Client”). By booking, paying for, or attending hypnotherapy sessions, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Next Chapter Hypnotherapy provides Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy, aimed at supporting issues such as anxiety, stress, low mood, confidence, phobias, habits, sleep difficulties, and stress‐related physical symptoms (e.g. IBS).
2. Nature of Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process. Results vary from person to person and depend on multiple factors, including commitment and engagement from the client and individual circumstances. No guarantees can be made regarding outcomes.
Hypnotherapy is not a substitute for medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. The Therapist does not provide medical advice.
3. Client Suitability
Hypnotherapy may not be suitable for everyone. Clients must disclose all relevant medical, psychological, and health information prior to and during therapy.
Next Chapter Hypnotherapy does not work with clients experiencing:
Psychosis or schizophrenia
Active suicidal ideation
Severe or unmanaged mental health conditions
Unless appropriate medical supervision and consent are in place.
The Therapist reserves the right to decline, pause, or terminate sessions if hypnotherapy is deemed unsuitable or outside the scope of practice, and may recommend alternative or additional support.
4. Confidentiality & Safeguarding
All information shared during sessions is treated as confidential in accordance with professional and legal obligations.
Confidentiality may be broken if the Therapist believes there is:
A risk of serious harm to the Client or others
A safeguarding concern
A legal requirement to disclose information
In such cases, appropriate services or healthcare professionals (including the Client’s GP) may be contacted if deemed necessary for safety.
5. Consent & Responsibility
By engaging in hypnotherapy, the Client confirms that:
Participation is voluntary
They take responsibility for their own wellbeing and progress
They may stop sessions at any time
They will provide accurate and honest information
6. Appointments & Attendance
Clients agree to attend sessions promptly at the scheduled time.
For online sessions, the Client is responsible for:
A private, safe environment
A stable internet connection
Suitable technology
If technical issues occur, the session may be shortened or rescheduled at the Therapist’s discretion.
7. Cancellations & Missed Appointments
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
As sessions are reserved specifically for you and cannot always be filled at short notice, cancellations within 48 hours will result in the full session fee being charged or the session being deducted from a pre-paid block.
This policy helps prevent the therapist from being left out of pocket and supports the sustainability of the practice.
Cancellations within 48 hours, missed appointments or late arrivals will result in:
The full session fee being charged
The session being deducted from a pre‐paid block
This is at the discretion of Next Chapter Hypnotherapy.

For in-person sessions, cash payments are accepted and will be collected on the day of the appointment.
